The Wall of Despair
For those times when you just need some discouragement
This originally started in my AIM profile, a long, long time ago. This is the new and improved version.
I've met a lot of people who were music majors in college, but are now employed in a totally different
field. This page is dedicated to them. Those lucky people who have real jobs.
- A classmate of my dad in college. He's a covert pilot for the DEA
- My dad - a United Methodist pastor
- My mom - taught piano for umpteen years, and is now an ASL interpreter
- Some guys with Cherry Hill Painting that I worked with briefly
- A sales manager at Boscov's
- Gemma - a computer tech person. aka, geek.
- Devin - a something or other in the Houghton College admissions office and selling Tupperware
(Although in her defense, she's still teaching violin lessons)
- Dianna - Working at a hotel front desk
- From Erika:
- my aunt - computer analyst
- From Janette:
- Blaine - another computer geek at Roberts Wesleyan
- From Chris:
- Steve, my uncle. He's currently the Treasurer/COO for something called Ephilanthropy,
a fundraising organization for non-profit organizations.
- From Josh:
- Mary, vocal performance (alto I think), presently an ER nurse at
South Jersey Healthcare, Elmer Hospital
- From Michelle:
- Becca - Houghton Grad in 2004 for violin performance.
She is now in Canada studying Bible translation
- From Beth:
- Beth (submitted by herself, oddly enough)
She is/has worked for the government and is currently the office administrator for the parts department
of a large dealership that sells mazdas, vw's, gm's and bmw.
- From Josh:
- Cory -- tenor 1, Mansfield university, music ed. Taught for a year and
hated it. Is now a bus driver for Coach USA. Met him on the college choir New England tour, 2006.

- Mark--
Composition degree from Noth Carolina School of the Arts. Now works for Premier Technical Services as the Director
of Busness Developement and has a web designing company and writes drill for marching bands.
