Back when I had immediate access to a Mac and a digital video camera, I used to do a fair bit of video editing. These are two little things I stitched together. The first one is our youth group's annual gop 'n goo night. Basically it starts out as messy food games (cover your face with peanut butter and throw cheese balls at it, lay on your backs and feed each other baby food over your head, lay on yoru back with a little paper cup in your mouth while someone standing over you tries to crack an egg into it, stuff like that) then deteriorates very quickly into an all out food fight. Back when I was in youth group, people would plan extensively for gop n' goo night and bring their own ammunition ahead of time and hide it in strategic places around the parking lot. It was a truely amazing experience.
This is the extremely low quality version. I also made a high quality version, but it seems to have gotten deleted. Sorry. It's over Edwin Starr's 'War'. It gets a little long, because I had to use all of the footage that I had and show everything, but its still fun. Sorry about the credits at the end. The quality is so low that you can't read them. If I remember correctly, it's a summary of all the food stuffs we used in the fight. (How many dozens of eggs, pounds of flour, jars of applesauce, etc). If you're wondering who the voices are, they're Sonia and Alicia, two girls who graduated the year before and came back to watch the mayhem. They didn't want to get messy, so I gave them the camera and said 'Shoot stuff'. And they did.
FUMC: 'Meet the People' (11.5mb)
This is a little thing I made after walking around my church one Sunday with our camera. I took clips of people doing different things, and stitched it together into a 'get to know the people in our church' montage. I like it, for some reason. Maybe it's because it's over 'Porcelain', by Moby. (If you know the song, you'll notice that I cut out the words. I just wanted the groove.) It's a lot better quality, and therefore, a lot bigger.
