Music

Okay, this is something completely different. This isn't fun and games, flashy and colorful, video or pictures, but it's still worth reading. Hopefully. As you might know if you know me, I have a huge music collection. I love independent artists (not indie the genre, truely independent artists) and anything that most people haven't heard of. I like fringe genres, acoustic stuff, folk, bluegrass, anything where the artist is doing something different or new, singer-songwriters, and most of the more mainstream stuff as long as it's honestly worth listening to, which most of it isn't.

So I'm creating this page with the purpose of educating people on what good music really is. It'll have info on new artists that I just discovered, as well as groups that I consider my favorites (if I can have a favorite). It's going to have little blurbs about each artist, meaning a description of the album or them, why it's awesome, where you can get it, how much it is, and all that good stuff. This is important to me, and therefore it should be important to you too, so keep on reading.

P.S.
After you've done some poking around and read a few reviews, you might start to wonder why I included both the iTunes price and a store price that's usually at least $5 more, plus shipping. I know that most people will probably buy the cheaper one, but CD Baby and Amazon both offer a lot of good information about the album and others' reviews if you don't trust mine, and it's therefore worth including, even if you ultimately buy it from iTunes. Plus CD Baby's sample tracks are 2:00 long, as opposed to iTunes' :30. So that's why. The link is there for information, and the off chance that someone (like me, for example) actually likes to have the physical album along with its cover art, booklets and whatnot.
